Men in practice at a Men's Academy intensive

Shadow work for men

Shadow work for men is not a mood and not a journal prompt you finish before breakfast. It is meeting the parts you exiled to stay loved. The competent one. The quiet one. The one who never needs anything. They will not be improved. They will be met.

Why men miss it

A man can name his shadow and still be run by it. Insight is a clean shirt. The jaw, the drink, the same fight at home, the shutdown when someone gets close: that is the shadow doing its old job. It once kept you safe. It is now expensive.

What the work actually is

You tell the truth in the first person, in a room that will not applaud the performance. Other men recognise the move because they have made it. Shame loses its private contract. That is shadow work. Not a technique you buy. A meeting you survive.

The parts you hid to stay loved will not be fixed. They want to be seen without running the house.

A room, not a worksheet

If you want this in ordinary weeks, sit in a men's circle. If you want days where the phone cannot rescue you, a men's intensive is the fire. The Call of the Ancestors, 25–29 November 2026, Monte Velho, looks at what the line handed you and what you will not hand on. Book a call. Men's Academy does not put a man on a stage and call it the work.

Questions men actually ask

What is shadow work for men?
Shadow work is meeting the parts of you that you hid to stay safe, loved, or impressive. Anger, need, shame, tenderness, envy. They do not leave because you can explain them.
Can I do shadow work alone?
You can read about it alone. The part that runs your life rarely shows up when nobody is watching. A men's circle or a men's intensive puts the pattern in the room, where it can be seen.
Where does Men's Academy hold this?
In the monthly men's circle, in Foundational Training, and at The Call of the Ancestors, 25–29 November 2026 at Monte Velho. The theme is ancestral work: what you inherited, and what you will not pass on. Book a call first.

The next step

Book a call. We check fit both ways.

Every man speaks with us before he registers. The conversation is part of the container, not a sales funnel.
