What Actually Happens at a Men's Intensive

Men ask the practical questions last, after they have circled the fear. Fine. Here is the practical picture.

You arrive at Monte Velho Retreat Centre, in the Costa Vicentina Natural Park on the southwest coast of Portugal. Check-in is in the afternoon. The land does part of the work before anyone speaks, ocean light, forest paths, a kitchen that will feed you without asking you to perform wellness.

The shape of the days

The container is simple and full. Sharing circles. Shadow work. Shamanic journey and ancestral ceremony. Breathwork and trauma release. Archetype embodiment, king, magician, lover, warrior, as lived postures, not costumes. Nature, sunrise, ice, temazcal, sound, animal flow, sacred combat. Osho dynamic meditation. Silence when silence is the honest next move.

You will not do all of that as a tourist checklist. The facilitators follow what the field is asking. Some hours are precise and structured. Some hours are raw. Both are held.

What we do not do

• We do not haze you.
• We do not demand a breakdown so the room can feel that something happened.
• We do not turn your story into content.
• We do not put one man on a pedestal and call it initiation.

You can come as you are. First intensive or third. English is the working language; Portuguese and German can be translated. You do not need prior training. You do need a willingness to be responsible for your own process and respectful of the men beside you.

After the last brunch

The work is not the peak experience. The work is who you are in the week after, with your partner, your children, your job, the quiet in your own chest. That is why the Academy is a home and not a tour. Men's circles continue. The Foundational Training exists for the man who wants structure between gatherings. Facilitator Training exists for the man who is ready to hold this for others. The Call of the Ancestors is the next intensive. Book a call.
